Programme
-
It Worked for Ustream - Gergely Schmidt (Product Manager @ Ustream) & Balázs Kereskényi (Product Manager @ Ustream)
How decisions are made by product managers at Ustream? They always validate their hypotheses against raw data. They use the smallest amount of resources to keep up fastest pace. Gergely and Balázs will present about A/B testing and what they learnt the hard way by revealing some of their failures and successes. -
Being an agile product owner - with an extreme product example - Bence Kulcsár (Consultant & Agile Coach)
Can you imagine that an existing physical product shifts its own product category and market position upwards after a simple firmware upgrade? A good product owner can. What is more important, her team can, too. So what is the difference between a classic product manager and an agile product owner? The presentation gives the answer focusing on the meaning of effectiveness, as well as on management behaviours, motivation and on product ownership. Furthermore, the physical product example that Bence chose illustrates in an inspiring way what we can expect if the product owner does the job well. -
Learning with prototypes - Péter Polgár (UX Researcher @ Prezi)
Some of the hardest questions while developing a product are "Are we developing something valuable?", and "Are these the right features for our users?". Getting user feedback early and often is the best way of learning about these questions. To get user feedback, a good approach is to build prototypes - simulations that show how the product will work. But not all prototypes are created equal. Some prototypes are better to get feedback about specific parts of the experience - like value, workflow, interaction - than others. Péter in his talk will focus on the different types of prototypes, and the insights we can gather with them.
Meet other product people. Talk with the presenters. Share your knowledge and learn new things as well. If you have a good topic for the next meetup and/or you would like to present don't be afraid to share it with us.
The language of the event is English.
